Not Just a Photoshoot, An Art Commission.
The Philosophy
Sculpting with Light
My approach to photography is deeply rooted in my background as a ceramic artist. When I work with clay, I am looking for structure, texture, and emotional resonance. I bring that exact same discipline to my photography.
I don’t believe in stiff poses or forced smiles. I believe in capturing the “sculptural” moments of family life—the way a mother holds her child, or the chaotic joy of siblings playing. My goal is to give you images that feel less like snapshots and more like pieces of art you can hang on your wall for decades.

The Process
01. Connection
It starts with a conversation. We’ll discuss your vision, potential locations in the Finger Lakes or Rochester area, and styling advice to make sure your family looks cohesive but authentic.
02. The Session
No pressure, no “say cheese.” My sessions are relaxed and play-based. I guide you into good light and let you interact naturally. I am patient with little ones and allow the moments to unfold organically.
03. The Heirloom
Within 2 weeks, you will receive an online gallery of hand-edited, high-resolution images. You have full print rights, meaning you can print your art wherever you choose.

Frequently Asked Questions
My kids are wild/shy/won’t sit still. Is that okay?
Absolutely. In fact, it’s preferred. As a mother of two boys myself, I know that chaos is where the magic happens. I don’t force children to sit; I follow their lead.
What should we wear?
Don’t worry, I help with this! Upon booking, I send a Styling Guide. I recommend neutral, earthy tones and textures (linen, wool, cotton) that complement our natural surroundings rather than distracting logos or bright neons.
Do you travel outside of Rochester?
Yes! While I am based in Rochester, I frequently shoot in the Finger Lakes, Buffalo, and Syracuse. Travel fees may apply for locations over 30 miles away.
